It is 8:45 a.m. and the morning ops meeting starts in 15 minutes. Instead of digging through reports and dashboards, a fleet manager just types:
"What happened across my fleet yesterday? Any unusual fuel drops?"
A few seconds later, the answer is right there. No login, no report builder, no waiting on a dispatcher to pull numbers.
That is the idea behind our latest release: a native fleet app inside ChatGPT, built on the same Wialon technology that powers MaliaTrack. It is one of the first integrations of its kind in fleet management and telematics, and it means your fleet data can now live wherever your team already works, including the AI tools they are using every day.
From dashboards to a simple question
Everyone in fleet management is talking about AI right now. Most of that conversation is about smarter assistants bolted onto existing platforms, helping users find their way around a product, dig through documentation, or troubleshoot an issue. That is useful, and MaliaTrack already offers tools in that direction.
This release is different. It is not about helping you use the software. It is about putting real, live fleet data directly into a conversation:
- For fleet operators, it means operational insight is available wherever they are: a real-time answer on a phone instead of a dashboard search.
- For MaliaTrack's partners and resellers, it is a genuinely useful thing to show a prospect. Open ChatGPT, ask a question about their own vehicles, get a real answer, no slide deck required.
- For the industry, it is a sign of where things are heading. The telematics platform is still doing the heavy lifting underneath, while the conversation layer just makes that data faster to reach.
A shortcut to whatever you need to know
The app is built to flex with however someone actually works, from a five-second check on the road to a full performance summary at the end of the week.
A dispatcher might ask: "Which vehicles are currently offline?" A logistics lead might ask: "Show me yesterday's trips for Vehicle A." A manager might ask: "How much fuel did the fleet use this week?"
However, the question comes in, and whatever device it is asked from, the answer is a message away.

Built for insight, not for changing settings
To make this level of access possible without adding operational risk, the MaliaTrack ChatGPT app is read-only.
Think of it as a window into your fleet data, not a control panel. You can ask about vehicle locations, review recent trips, check fuel activity, and look into alerts, but you can't change settings, send commands, or touch vehicle configurations. You get the speed of a conversation with none of the risk of someone accidentally changing something they should not.
The next step in fleet digitalization
MaliaTrack has always focused on turning raw tracking data into decisions people can actually act on. Bringing that data into ChatGPT is a natural extension of that. It does not replace the platform; it just removes a step between the question and the answer.
Getting started
The app is now live, and it works with both free and paid ChatGPT accounts (standard ChatGPT message limits still apply).
- Connect: add the MaliaTrack app inside ChatGPT, either through the direct link or by searching for "Wialon" or "MaliaTrack" under apps.
- Authorize: link your account with a MaliaTrack/Wialon access token (the app walks you through generating one).
- Ask: start asking questions and let your fleet do the talking.
