The fleet management industry is rapidly evolving, necessitating the adoption of new technologies and automation processes like never before. To assist telematics service providers in adapting to these changes and offering their clients effective solutions, we are actively working on enhancing MaliaTrack. In this article, we will share some of the key areas our development team is currently focusing on. Let's dive in!
Battery Level Control for Electric Vehicles
Electric vehicles are rapidly gaining market share, and we aim to support these technologies within MaliaTrack. Our initial step is to introduce functionality that enables battery level control. This is one of the first steps towards allowing users to track electric vehicle performance within the system and analyze relevant metrics.
Simplifying Event Management
Timely and clear communication is crucial in the fleet management industry. This year, we plan to simplify event management based on notifications, enhancing the efficiency of dispatch activities. Soon, the ability to work with notification history will be available, along with several additional tools for responding to high-priority fleet events. These solutions will enable users to react more swiftly to incidents and other events, reducing the need for external tools to register these details.
Hardware Health Check System
Our partners often face challenges in promptly detecting and preventing issues with trackers and sensors. Typically, these problems are only discovered after a device stops transmitting data, which is often too late. A hardware health check system would provide information on the status of devices before malfunctions impact fleet operations. We are exploring the possibility of creating additional functionality to analyze deviations from expected device behavior, allowing users to respond to changes in device operation in a timely manner.
Automatic Creation of Popular Sensors
The functionality of automatically creating popular sensors will be particularly useful for new MaliaTrack users during the initial stages of using the system. It will provide them with information about the most commonly created sensors for specific devices, enabling quicker setup and fuller utilization of available capabilities and device data. To achieve this, we have developed a recommendation system using machine learning, which automatically suggests sensor settings based on data received from the tracker.
Tracks in the MaliaTrack Mobile Application
We are currently considering adding track control functionality to the mobile application, along with the ability to obtain detailed information about the unit at each point of the track (such as its speed, time, etc.). This will allow mobile application users to conveniently monitor the movements of their connected vehicles and make prompt decisions based on the received data.
User Experience Improvements
This year, we will also focus heavily on improving the user experience in working with reports and notifications. We plan to enhance the UI/UX in the dialogs for creating notifications, expanding control options. Additionally, working with reports will become more transparent and straightforward.
We value your feedback and plan to enhance the process of collecting it. We are also working on improving how we inform you about new features in MaliaTrack. Another key research area for us in 2024 is the integration of AI into the Help Center. We will share more details as they become available.
In conclusion, we want to emphasize that our team is committed to staying abreast of the latest technological advancements in fleet management and integrating them into MaliaTrack wherever possible. As always, our focus remains on innovation and improving user experience. We hope these enhancements will help MaliaTrack partners optimize their clients' business processes and increase fleet efficiency.
